Colin M. Fuzzy, trippy rock that manages to be both calming and energetic. Some of those hooks are monstrously catchy and stick with me long after the album has stopped. Favorite track: Dead Butterfly.

I hear it on the radio It's silent in the night And with me everywhere I go Until the sun is out of sight And every time I try to fly, I wonder why I just feel like I've been thrown Nothing really matters, my reality is shattered, I should just get out of bed, but I don't Don't let life pass you by You're just gonna let the past come eat you while you're waiting for the future to die I sink back into the night The swan song of the dead and gone You gave me a sign, and you saved my I hear it on the radio It's silent in the night And with me everywhere I go Until the sun is out of sight And everybody thinks I'm crazy, no one wants to hear what I have to say All the gods are on computers, somewhere far out in the future, and they program everything that we play Don't let life pass you by You're just gonna let the past come eat you while you're waiting for the future to die I sink back into the night The swan song of the dead and gone You gave me a sign, and you saved my

Marisol 04:27
I'm floating backwards in my head I seem to fall to pieces, heaven stole my friend As blacker skies unwind to red I know the nights are long, the goblin song, beginning to the end Just know the past is over Just know my mind is gone I call her sea and solar Marisol Lost in the deep, return to me As darkness falls and time dissolves around me silently I wait for you beside the sea As ghosts surround me, try to drown me, try to set me free Just know the past is over Just know my mind is gone I call her sea and solar Marisol These rains have brought this fuzz to bloom Inside the light, the butterfly has found its final womb I sink into my sacred tomb Ashes to burn inside this urn as I return to you Just know the past is over Just know my mind is gone I call her sea and solar Marisol

And you'll be What you wanted And you'll rise After you fall And you'll see That once you've fallen That your body Is nothing at all A good goodbye And time Is undecided This hour Has gone to soon And you'll find That you're reminded You're just a flower In a forest in bloom Just close your eyes A good goodbye to send me off to A good goodbye, not gone too soon My butterfly, I thought I lost you Return me to darkness and warmth in your cocoon

Never let my silence sway you Even now, the end's begun I can't seem to find a way to Accept that now it's time to fly myself beside the sun Good souls are hide to find Some stranded here and left behind Sweet child, you remind Me of myself when I was blind Leave the sunlight there behind you Say goodbye forever now All the love you gave will find you But who's to say if things will change or matter anyhow Good souls are hide to find Some stranded here and left behind Sweet child, you remind Me of myself when I was blind Good souls are hide to find Some stranded here and left behind Sweet child, you remind Me of myself when I was blind

Cry Baby Cry 03:32
Wow Signal transmission on the radio Spaceman whistling his favorite tune The super symmetry of all the fallen meteors Throwing dead rocks at a shredded super-moon And I can see you falling to pieces In a cathedral all alone And I can hear you talking to Jesus Reverberating in my bones Your voodoo is lost in the moonshine The shapeshifter is growing too old A flock of ravens, a crow, and a magpie The dungeon master doesn't do what he's told Dr. Scientist, Mr. Philosopher, my superego's bent, let me talk to her A secret freq walking through the door, swollen pickle in your muff, what'd you FM4? Saw a spectre in the night, yeah I thought I was alone, I used a crystal dagger on a neo clone And with my last breath, I heard the mothership call to take my bones home and get probed Cry, baby, cry Cry, baby, cry Cry, baby, cry Cry, baby, cry Even tides to the depths of an earthquake Slow ride washed into the unknown The pinnacle of a death at an arcade Chasing bliss into a purple sea foam Big sky silver dragons are flying Through the caverns and the canyons they've flown The small sound of a nautila dying The big sound of Leviathan grown Dr. Scientist, Mr. Philosopher, my superego's bent, let me talk to her A secret freq walking through the door, swollen pickle in your muff, what'd you FM4? Saw a spectre in the night, yeah I thought I was alone, I used a crystal dagger on a neo clone And with my last breath, I heard the mothership call to take my bones home and get probed Cry, baby, cry Cry, baby, cry Cry, baby, cry Cry, baby, cry

I feel compelled to thank you For bringing me back to life I've been to hell and sank to The darkness of the tide You sang to me from silence A long forgotten hymn Return to skies of violet Awakened once again I stand barefoot in the rainfall Feet humbly in the dirt And when I finished what I came for Return me to the earth As time stands still and heartless I feel your warmth again But I must return to darkness This dream is at its end While bubbles follow me down The remnants of my breath I sleep again in sweet sound The sanctity of death I stand barefoot in the rainfall Feet humbly in the dirt And when I finished what I came for Return me to the earth

So come on closer, and waste your time Sink into warmth now, the storm's arrived Where the meadow is dead and you can find your breeze Fly out into the night and out beyond the sea Maybe the wind Will blow you by Maybe the wind Will blow you by Maybe the wind Will blow you by Maybe the wind Will blow you by Rolling thunder Echoes of a heartbeat long forgotten Rattling bone and memory to the waves Tremors in the distance, closer, closer Hark back to depths descended Within the shackles of an ancient age Every sound, every touch The flood, relentless Never lost, but never found A flash, a shudder Dark clouds swell in the distance Unfurling from that which cannot be quelled So lay your head right by my side Return to slime, and we can sleep all night With all the space fuzz beyond the sea In the rising tides, we'll find a place to breathe Maybe the wind Will blow you by Maybe the wind Will blow you by Maybe the wind Will blow you by Maybe the wind Will blow you by

Wither slow my only blossom How I hate to watch you wait I found god before I lost him For what's left of my remains I left my past in the dark I never thought my eyes would ever see it Now I've come back for your heart And like a butterfly, my return's completed My only flower beneath the sky Falling in time with my demise My last request, my final cry Forever lie right by my side Welcome, sweetness, I've been lonely How I'd love for you to stay I haven't much to offer Only wilted stems from this bouquet I left the dark in my past I never thought that I would ever see you But you've arrived here at last Another wilted flower for my heart to bleed to My only flower beneath the sky Falling in time with my demise My last request, my final cry Forever lie right by my side My only flower beneath the sky Falling in time with my demise My last request, my final cry Forever lie right by my side

I thought I’d lost you It seems like all things are far away Blackholes to fall through Are all that’s left of my sunny days Beauty in motion Blossoms fall all around your face Under the ocean Take me down to a darker place Time will take you someday You’ll find beauty over Time will take you someday You’ll find beauty over Time will take you someday You’ll find beauty over I suppose I overthink too much But maybe that’s just what they want me to say I never thought I’d need a hand to touch But I’m gonna wanna feel you on my dying day And it seems like I've been dreaming all of my life I still feel it, but it’s already gone And I think so much more than my poor head can take I can wait a little while while I’m wasting my time, just promise that you won’t take long Time will take you someday You’ll find beauty over Time will take you someday You’ll find beauty over Time will take you someday You’ll find beauty over Time will take you someday You’ll find beauty over I've been sleeping outside in your garden since the sunrise Just waiting for the ultraviolet light to burn away all my dreams I opened my eyes, it took a while for me to realize That all the birds and bugs put on a concert that was only for me Pollen in the sunlight floating in the top of the air Future flowers that might wind up by my deathbed on the last day I breathe I smiled for a second, and I wondered whether you would be there But as a ghost or maggot food, I don’t imagine it would matter to me Time will take you someday You’ll find beauty over Time will take you someday You’ll find beauty over Time will take you someday You’ll find beauty over Time will take you someday You’ll find beauty over Time will take you someday You’ll find beauty over Time will take you someday You’ll find beauty over

about

Gene Wildest have been spreading their brand of space rock in and around Philadelphia since 2013. Spectral Terrestrial is the 2018 follow-up to their first release, Everything. Spectral Terrestrial marks the first concept album by Gene Wildest and tells tales of loss and returning from the dead to find your way back home to the ones that matter, all on a slushy sea of rhythmic grooves, trippy guitar effects, and fuzzy riffage.
